TrueCrypt – Encrypt your Hard didks
TrueCrypt lets you create encrypted virtual disks.
TrueCrypt disks use either a partition on your hard disk or a file (. Tc)
A disk TrueCrypt, once “installed” with the password appears as a new disk in the system. Any file written / read on this disc is automatically encrypt / decrypt: This is totally transparent. In 2 clicks, you can “close” the virtual disks.
The advantage of TrueCrypt on most other systems is that you do not need to go through the manual phase encryption-decryption. The other advantage is that at no time the file is written to disk unencrypted.
Files .tc contain virtual disks can be placed on hard disk, but also on CD, DVD or USB key.
It is therefore also a good way to make a backup copy of your encrypted files.
In this new version, the bugs encountered in the previous version have been corrected. Among other things, the speed of the file has been improved with a system of writing to more than 64kb.
