Delete MailSkinner

MailSkinner is a “fake” software that offers emoticons. This software is actually a Trojan that infects your PC during installation. You will receive publicity and your machine may have a strange behavior if it is installed.

Uninstalling

* 1. Click Start> Control Panel> Add / Remove Programs and uninstall if MailSkinner is present. If the program shows any resistance to removal, try to uninstall in Safe Mode.
* 2. Click Start> My Computer> C: > Program Files, and delete this folder: MailSkinner. If the file persists, delete it in Safe Mode (see above for access)
* 3. Do this to complete the deletion of files created by MailSkinner:
* Display all hidden files and folders:
* Click Start> Control Panel> Tools> Folder Options> Display
* Check “Show hidden files and folders”
* Click Apply and OK.
* Click Start> My Computer> C: > Documents and settings> All Users> Application data, and delete the file if present MailSkinner.
* 4. Do the same with the other records of meetings, for example:
* C: / Documents and Settings / <name (s) autre (s) session (s)> / Application data
* Delete files MailSkinner if present.

Disinfect

Disable UAC time disinfection if you have Vista.

Download Navilog1 (IL-Mafioso) and save to the desktop.

* Double-click Navilog1.exe.
* (Under Vista, you must right-click the shortcut Navilog1 and choose “Run as administrator”)
* Choose your language press F or f then validate with Enter.
* Press any key whenever it is requested, you get to the menu of options.
* Select option 1 and press Enter to confirm your choice.
* /! Allow work tool /!
* If infection, it will ask press any key to reboot the PC,
* After reboot, the tool will “clean”, then Notepad containing the report will be displayed.
* If the scan result is not displayed, it is found in C: cleannavi.txt

If files were found negative, disinfection is automatic.

Final

1. Once disinfection carried out, I advise you to check your PC with HijackThis to determine that no infection or other threat can not be cached.

2. Never install programs from pop-up and / or banners to promote a program whatsoever. If you are unsure, ask.
